Tech4good: Innovate Locally, Impact Globally (Citypreneurs x CES Asia)

11 Jun 2019 to 12 Jun 2019
Shanghai, China
Open meeting

For the first time in history, half of the population in Asia live in urban areas, creating more pressures on cities to host an ever-increasing number of people and do so in a sustainable and inclusive way. Technological change is speeding up at the same time as climate change and inequality are becoming more difficult to mitigate. How can we harness technology and innovation to solve our biggest challenges rather than contribute towards them?

With the idea that all stakeholders must collaborate to achieve the 2030 Agenda, CITYPRENEURS works as a platform to showcase urban issues identified by city governments, as defined and measured by the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), and to connect public and private sector players with young socially- and environmentally-minded innovators.

The Citypreneurs conference programme "Tech4good: Innovate Locally, Impact Globally" will be held at the Consumer Electronics Show Asia (CES Asia) on 11-12 June 2019 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in Shanghai, China. The event is co-hosted by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific - East and North-East Asia Office (UNESCAP-ENEA), the Seoul Digital Foundation (SDF), the World Smart Sustainable Cities Organization (WeGO) and the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA).
